We are a small family from Weber County, Utah, with a passion for agriculture, animals, and raising children with strong values. While we've always loved animals, neither of us grew up showing livestock. Like many families, we've learned alongside our children, discovering that the lessons gained in the show ring reach far beyond fair week.
Our goal isn't simply to raise great livestock—it's to raise great people.
Through caring for their animals, our children are learning responsibility, communication, leadership, perseverance, and the value of hard work. They experience both success and disappointment, learning that while hard work can open many doors, it's character, integrity, and kindness that truly determine where life takes you.
Raised Right Livestock was created to share that opportunity with other families in our community. We believe every young exhibitor deserves a chance to showcase their hard work, connect with buyers and supporters, and celebrate the journey that comes with raising livestock.
If you or your child are participating in the Weber County Fair and would like to showcase your livestock project, connect with potential buyers, or receive community support through boost donations, we'd love to welcome you to the Raised Right Livestock family. Because we're trying to raise more than livestock... we're raising the next generation

Many people want to support young exhibitors but may not be able to purchase a market animal at the county fair auction. That's where a boost comes in.
A boost is a financial contribution made directly to a youth exhibitor to help offset the costs of raising and showing their livestock project. These donations recognize the months of hard work, early mornings, and dedication that go into caring for an animal while helping young people continue their agricultural journey.
Whether a child participates through 4-H, FFA, or another youth livestock program, every boost is an investment in more than an animal—it's an investment in responsibility, leadership, work ethic, and character.
Your support helps cover expenses such as:
Most importantly, your contribution reminds these young exhibitors that their hard work is valued by their community.

Every year, local families, businesses, and community members become buyers at the Junior Livestock Auction by purchasing an exhibitor's market animal. Their support recognizes months of dedication while helping young exhibitors continue their agricultural journey.
You don't need a ranch to become a buyer—just a desire to invest in the next generation.
Do I have to take the animal home?
No. Many buyers choose to have the animal processed, donate the meat, or allow it to enter the resale market, depending on the auction's policies.
Can multiple people buy one animal?
Yes! Many families, businesses, and community groups combine their resources to purchase an animal together.
Can businesses buy livestock?
Absolutely. Buying at the fair is a meaningful way to support local youth while demonstrating community involvement.
